1) The field test was conducted in a newly built three(3) storey apartment block located in
Mosman. The impact noise isolation measurements taken are consistent with ISO 140-7,
“Acoustics-Measurement of sound insulation in buildings and of building elements – Part
7: Field measurements of impact sound isolation of floors”.
2) The tests were conducted over a 200mm thick bare concrete slab and the test samples
were loosely mounted onto the bare concrete.
